The clinic is held in the treatment room at Testvale Surgery You do not require a referral for this clinic but you must attend the Resource Room to obtain a Travax Report.
When and How Long... Do I need to make an appointment?
This clinic is held Every Friday Between 2pm and 5pm Initial consultation - 20 minutesVaccine appointments - 10 minutes You will need to make an appointment for each attendance
Are there any Fees or Charges? How do I make an appointment?
The clinic is free but you may need to pay for some vaccinations and private prescriptions where the cost is not covered by the NHS. Please make an appointment at reception AFTER you have obtained your Travax Report from the Resource Room.
Scope
For all advice and information regarding foreign travel please contact the Resource Room, run by The Friends Of Testvale Surgery, they will be able to assess your needs and then create a TRAVAX report for you. They will create the report and pass it to the Practice Nurse in readiness for you to make an appointment for your innoculations.The nurse will be able to give further advice on travel health, vaccinations you may need and prescriptions for anti-malarial treatments.

Follow Up and Post-Clinic

You may need to attend further clinics if you require more than one vaccine so PLEASE make sure you allow enough time - up to 12 weeks before travel - to get everything done. Don't leave it too late - you will invalidate your travel insurance and may be refused entry to some countries.Some vaccinations cannot be given in combination and most need at least 3 weeks in your system to build adequate resistance.

We advise that you check with reception on the availability and timings of this clinic. Sometimes it is necessary to re-schedule or cancel clinics due to matters beyond our control. We will post any changes to Clinic times on the notice board in the surgery and in the Notice Board section of the Surgery Website as soon as they become known.
