If you undergo tests at the Surgery or by referral at a hospital or clinic your Doctor or Nurse Practitioner will tell you when the results will be available and whether you need to contact us or if we will contact you.
The time it takes for results to come back to the Surgery varies depending on the tests you have done. It can be anything from 2 days (for simple blood tests) up to 3 weeks (for more complicated tests or x-rays).
To obtain your results, you can either call in to the Surgery or telephone us anytime after 2:30pm on the day you have been asked to call. Test results are not available until after 2:30 so please be patient.
Sometimes, we cannot always give full results over the phone. If the result is complicated, or if the doctor wants to see you about the result, we will offer you an appointment.
We will only give results to the person who has had the test.
We make every effort to ensure that the information provided is correct and up-to-date. If you notice anything that may be incorrect or no longer relevant, please let us know and we will correct the error.
